LOGBOOK SERVICE
Motormech’s logbook service ensures that your car is maintained and serviced according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, guaranteeing safety and performance. Our team of experts keeps detailed logbook records to comply with the manufacturer’s warranty requirements.
When you purchase a new vehicle the manufacturer provides a logbook, which provides both owners and mechanics with vital information regarding the service procedures, inspection points and servicing intervals required for the operation of the vehicle. To retain your warranty the logbook must be stamped by the service centre and parts and lubricants used must also be genuine, or equal to or better than the original manufacturer’s specifications.
When you choose Motormech for your logbook servicing, you can be sure that the servicing is completed to the highest of standards. We only use premium Penrite Oils and other genuine products, which are subject to the supplier’s stringent manufacturing quality standards to make sure only the best parts are fitted to your car. We are able to offer a warranty on every service we perform.
At Motormech we can provide two different kinds of logbook services for all passenger cars, 4WD, vans and European models.
Basic Capped Price Service
The basic capped-price service is the bare minimum to fulfil the logbook requirements and includes:
Changing engine oil
Changing oil filter
Tyre rotation
Logbook stamp
Contact us today to book your capped price service.
While we are happy to provide this service for you, we believe it is a somewhat false economy, and you will save more money in the long run if you go for our standard vehicle service.
Motormech’s Standard Vehicle Service
We based our standard vehicle service on the manufacturer’s logbook requirements to ensure your warranty is maintained and included other inspections and adjustments to essential vehicle services to make sure your vehicle is in the best possible condition.
The standard vehicle service consists of:
- Replacing engine oil with premium oil
- Changing oil filter
- Engine flush and Fuel system flush if required
- Multi-point vehicle inspection
- Tyre pressure check and adjustment if required
- Tyre rotation
- Handbrake and brake system inspection and adjustment if required
- Exhaust system inspection
- Drive belts inspection and adjustment if required
- Suspension inspection
- Steering components inspection
- Cooling system inspection
- Battery test
- Electrical system test
- Pre-warranty expiry report
- Logbook stamp
Actual service costs could be a little more than the capped price service, but the money it will save you in costly repairs down the line is well worth the slight increase in price.
